Shirin Ansari, Ph.D.
Founder & Headmaster
The headmaster of C4L Academy, Dr. Shirin Ansari, established C4L Academy in 2012 to provide an alternative educational path for K-12 students. Dr. Ansari’s passion for reaching students who struggle led to the addition of the C4L Academy Online High School program in 2015. Understanding that children who struggle to learn become adults who dislike or avoid learning, Dr. Ansari has assembled a team of education and curriculum experts to create a high school diploma program that is expressly suited to an adult learner’s needs and practically applicable to their lives.
Dr. Ansari is also the founder of The Center for Learning and Behavioral Solutions in Irvine. As a School Psychologist with the Irvine Unified School District, she acquired knowledge of and an appreciation for the educational approaches to solving learning problems. As a Clinical Psychologist, her emphasis on neuropsychology has inspired her to develop research-based techniques for the treatment of learning difficulties, processing disorders and language problems.
A firm believer in viewing students from multiple perspectives, Dr. Ansari has pioneered a multidisciplinary approach in evaluation and treatment of all learners. Her professional expertise has allowed her to integrate the four key disciplines of educational psychology, neuropsychology, clinical psychology, and special education into her understanding of each student’s individuality. This one of a kind approach has gained much recognition among the clinical and research communities. Dr. Ansari has also implemented this innovative approach in several private schools, including St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, St. Mary’s School in Aliso Viejo, Holy Family Catholic School in Orange, Rosary Catholic High School in Fullerton and TVT Community Day School in Irvine. In doing so, Dr. Ansari has helped schools to more effectively meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles.
Under the guidance of Dr. Ansari, C4L Academy’s goal is to build learners with 21st century skills such as meeting deadlines, becoming technologically skilled, and developing professional skills.
